Hope Road Organization is committed to creating meaningful, measurable outcomes for youth and families through arts- and nature-based programming. Our work centers on positive youth development, healthy habits, and community connection.

​WHO WE SERVE

Community Focus

  • Youth and families in Dayton, Ohio

  • Primary service area: 45406 / Greenwich Village

  • Youth ages 6–18, with family engagement encouraged

  • Free and low-barrier access to programming

 

Hope Road exists to support communities where access to fresh food, creative outlets, and safe gathering spaces is limited.

Positive Youth Development

All Hope Road programs are intentionally aligned with the 5 C’s of Positive Youth Development:

  • Competence – skill-building through hands-on activities

  • Confidence – self-worth and belief in personal ability

  • Connection – positive relationships with peers and mentors

  • Character – integrity, responsibility, and decision-making

  • Caring & Compassion – empathy and service to others

​PROGRAMMING IMPACT (METRICS)​

Youth Engagement

  • Weekly, approx. 18 youth programming during the growing season

  • Average of multiple youth per session: 15

  • Consistent attendance across Wednesday and Saturday sessions

  • Youth return week after week, building routine and trust

Health & Wellness

  • Youth actively participate in gardening and outdoor learning

  • Increased exposure to fresh fruits and vegetables

  • Nutrition education integrated into programming

  • Physical activity embedded into each session

 

Community & Food Access

  • Community-based garden supporting youth learning

  • Fresh food grown and shared within the neighborhood

  • Youth gain understanding of food systems and sustainability

  • Families benefit from access to locally grown produce

 

Volunteer & Community Support

  • Programs supported by community volunteers

  • Volunteers assist with gardening, youth engagement, and meals
