Program Measurement of Implementation

After successfully executing Hope Road’s MIB program, the pre-test and post-test are processed to create the  Post-Data points report which offers teachers/administrators key data on participant takeaways.

 

 

Anticipated Outcomes

 

  1. Confident to make their own spending decisions even if their peers make different choices.

  2. Aware of different forms of payment methods.

  3. Aware that once they spend their money, it is no longer available to them to spend on something else.

  4. Has a realistic knowledge of the cost of basic items including food.

  5. Knows that a debit card is linked directly to a bank account.

  6. Understand the role(s) that money plays in their culture.

  7. Conscious of their own spending habits and use of money.

  8. Understand that income can contribute to well-being for themselves, their family and community.

  9. Understand that they must keep track of all expenses to know whether they are staying within budget.

  10. Confident to speak up if they receive the wrong change or are charged the wrong amount Understands the relevance of monitoring cash-flow across different time scales.

Hope Road’s MIB (Money in the Bank) Program helps students learn the challenges of supporting a family on a budget based on income level.  It is an interactive role-playing simulation that teaches the fundamentals of paying bills using varying job descriptions, salaries and family dynamics.
